On Friday 15 November we held our Year 12 Graduation in the gymnasium, where we farewelled our Year 12 cohort. A large number of family and friends joined the graduating class, celebrating this
milestone. We were very privileged to have Nola Marino MP as our guest speaker. Nola, who was Head girl at Harvey SHS 50 years ago, gave a very inspiring and thought provoking speech. To add
significance to the occasion, Nola wore her school uniform. She wore it on the day to show how proud she was of the School that helped her become who she is today. Nola said,
“Harvey High School is where I began and went on to be highly involved in Parliament; with me becoming the first female Liberal Party Chief Whip. I grew up in Brunswick so it shows that it doesn’t matter where you come from, if you want something enough you can achieve anything with hard work”.
